Fibre-free ready-mixed dry mortar of mortar group IIIa or M20. PYRO-SAFE^® NOVASIT K2 is suitable for pumping, pressing and manual installation.

Filling of cavities when installing steel frames.
Fire and smoke-proof sealing of individual cables (e.g. according to MLAR or other guidelines for easier cable routing).

Field of Application

Fire protection mortar (Fire behaviour class A1 according to DIN EN 998-2). Universally applicable within the range of massive walls and floors for:

penetrations of isolated metallic pipe
fire- and smoke-resistant sealing of single lines according to MLAR
joints around climatic and air ducts, fire dampers, fire protection doors, valves
filling the voids of door steel frames

Product Features

One-component, hydraulically hardening; applied by spraying, pressing and manual installation; free from fi bres, phenols and halogens, ageing resistant.

Application temperature > +5 °C
Application time app. 2 – 3 hours
Fully cured time app. 28 days
Surfaces must be firm and free from adhesion-reducing substances and dust. Absorbent surfaces are to be pre-wetted with water.
The consistency of the mortar has to be adjusted in such a way that all openings are cavity-free filled.
