At svt, we have one purpose: Protecting lives! And what is more: We use top products and tailored applications to protect our customers’ assets, buildings and vehicles on land, at sea, and in the air.

Passive fire protection will always be important, and is steadily gaining in significance. When devastating fires ripped through the passenger terminal of Düsseldorf Airport in 1996 and London’s Grenfell Tower in 2017, suitable structural fire protection might have saved lives¹.

How Can Our Products & Applications Offer Safety and Protection in Similar Situations?

Tailored and tested fire protection products and systems effectively prevent fires from spreading. This allows fire brigades and emergency services to gain valuable minutes during which to evacuate people from buildings, trains, ships and similar structures.

Take Responsibility – Live Sustainably

Protecting our environment, and the careful use and preservation of valuable resources go hand-in-hand with this. Firstly, this involves exhausting every possibility at our own sites, in the production and development of our products. And secondly, we work together with industry partners to develop decisive solutions for passive fire protection, so that topics of the future – such as e-mobility and lightweight construction materials – can be implemented safely and comprehensively.

Fires have two significant effects on our climate: In addition to the increased CO₂ emissions that result from fires, consequences such as the demolition of burnt-out buildings, the extensive renovation of damaged building elements and the disposal of burnt-out vehicles cause major pollution that affects the climate and our environment. By effectively containing the spread of fires in buildings and vehicles with passive fire protection solutions, svt is making an active contribution to reducing emissions and conserving valuable resources and the environment.
