BHF fire protection hood is manufactured from a unique multi-layer material which in case of fire expands inwards and outwards. This completely seals the ceiling opening with an insulating foam which prevents or considerably delays the spreading of fire. At the same time the foam offers additional insulation of the space or ceiling cavity, prevents extreme heating and the ignition of flammable materials such as dust.
