Successful Alliance of DDL GmbH with svt Group of Companies

Hamburg / Wernau: German company DDL GmbH (the acronym stands for “Durchführungssysteme Dichtungstechnik Lutz”) and svt Group of Companies have joined forces and will, as of now, move into the future together. Established in 2004 by Klaus Uli Lutz, DDL has made a name for itself as a specialist manufacturer of pressure-tight pipe and cable penetrations; the ring seal and pipe seal products it produces are its premier flagship products. The company has 20 employees; both its head office and production site are based in Wernau on the Neckar. The new alliance provides for DDL GmbH to operate under the umbrella of svt Holding, where it will strengthen svt Group’s product division as a centre of expertise for pressure-tight penetrations. Klaus Uli Lutz, who wishes to retire from active business life in the course of this year, is very happy about the “new home” for his lifetime enterprise, which he has built up and grown over time together with Elke Langer and a team of talents.

Cable and pipe penetration seals are often required to simultaneously meet several performance criteria and protection goals. DDL’s experience in the field of pressure and water tightness thus ideally complements svt’s experience in the field of fire protection.“DDL will expand svt’s portfolio by contributing specific pressure seal know-how and the associated products, thus helping to combine fire protection and pressure tightness solutions into a single concept“, explains Klaus Uli Lutz.

The alliance with DDL enables svt Group to complement its cable penetration seals PYRO-SAFE^® CT Cable Tubes and its pipe penetration seals ROKU^® IWM & AWM II with pressure-tight pipe and cable penetration seals for walls and floors/ceilings. “By again enlarging our capabilities in the field of penetration and sealing solutions, we are taking forward our proven strategy to use the unique synergies afforded by our Group in the creation of viable state-of-the-art solutions for wall penetrations“, enthuses Thomas Kopp, COO of svt Products GmbH, when signing the contract.
