Fire stop coating

FLAMRO® BMA is an ablation coating mass for wiring and can be applied for either indoor and outdoor use.


Application Areas

  • Electrical cables of any material and thickness as well as cable trays made of steel or aluminium profiles
  • Permitted for indoor and outdoor use (refineries, industrial facilities etc.)

Application Details

FLAMRO BMA can be applied above head or can be sprayed and does not drop or slip off or get fissures during the process of drying if the ambient temperature is approximately 20 °C and relative air moisture is 60 % to 70 %. In case of lower ambient temperature or higher air moisture more drying time will be required. In such cases FLAMRO BMA should be applied in several thin layers, to facilitate the quick evaporation of the water. In areas of high infestation by microbes (outdoor application, composting plants, tropic areas etc.) FLAMRO BMA containing film preservatives should be used. In such cases please contact your supplier.

Processing: FLAMRO BMA can not be used at ambient temperatures below 5 °C

Shelf-life: Sealed in original containers at room temperature at least 1 year, 5 °C – 30 °C – to be protected against frost and direct sunlight

Packaging: Plastic buckets with 0,5 kg, 1 kg, 5 kg, 12,5 kg und 25 kg net

Completely dry – depending on room temperature, air humidity and on coating thickness: 1 – 3 days

Surfaces must be stable, clean and free of grease and dust; steel and iron parts should be protected against corrosion in case of outdoor applications or in areas where condensed water may be developed.
Temperature resistance
The applied coating compound withstands temperatures from – 40 °C to + 80 °C, there is neither chemical break- down, discolouration nor a deterioration in its efficacy.
